MISSION STATEMENT The company credo “Managing Today’s Resources for Tomorrow!”  concisely sums up the philosophy and dominant driving force of Dankelmann & Associates, Inc. and Second Nature Recycling, Inc.  Unfortunately great slogans, catch phrases and sound bites accomplish very little.  Yet “Managing Today’s Resources for Tomorrow!”  is a standard that was conceived by Dankelmann & Associates and is implemented daily by Second Nature Recycling.  It is taken seriously by both corporations that carry it as a banner with great pride and confidence. Let’s face it, we’re all just renting space here on planet earth.  As tenants we’ve got to be responsible for the way we leave the apartment for the next tenant.   What we do today will have an impact on our future generations.  Dankelmann & Associates and Second Nature Recycling wants to do it’s part as a responsible steward to our planet.  With disposal options for solid waste becoming more expensive and harder to find, along with diminishing natural resources, both companies are committed to responsible resource management. Resource management is more than collecting newspapers, cardboard boxes and soda cans.  It’s about making sure that the resources that are here today will be used and preserved in a manner in which they can provide for future generations.  With the incentive of higher disposal costs for solid waste the combined companies focus is on seeking new and innovative ways to develop lower cost disposal alternatives while recovering and reusing resources that were once destined for the trash heap.  In looking for new disposal alternatives a greater emphasis is being made on reuse and recycling.  Everyone knows we live way beyond our means and not only in financial circles.  We live far beyond what good old planet earth can sustain us.  Sooner or later resources are going to run out and then the light bulb will go off and everyone will make a collective sigh and say: “they should have done more in the past!” Well today is tomorrow’s past.  Second Nature Recycling and Dankelmann & Associates are trying in some small way to help reduce those impacts on that future day of reckoning.  Balancing our customers needs with the management and recovery of our resources at a reasonable cost is our mission.  A simple mission, yet profound with long term benefits.  Benefits that will leave a long term positive influence on our community, the environment and future generations.  The time is now to go beyond starting to “make a difference,” it is a truly a time to  “make that difference!” That is why all of us at Second Nature Recycling and Dankelmann & Associates believe in our company motto as we live it each day.  We truly need to manage today’s resources for tomorrow.  Or today’s future won’t become tomorrows past.
